SOC 2 reports are attestation reports that examine controls at a service organization relevant to the security, availability, or processing integrity of a system and the confidentiality or privacy of the information processed for end users. SOC 2 reports demonstrate a company’s ability to implement critical security policies and prove compliance over an extended period.

Reporting on Controls at a Service Organization and based on the trust service principles outlined in the AICPA Guide, Reporting on Controls at a Service Organization Relevant to Security, Availability, Processing Integrity, Confidentiality, or Privacy. The SOC 2 Type II report is performed by an independent auditing firm. It is intended to understand the service organization’s suitability of the design and operating effectiveness of its internal controls.
